Moderated by Andrea Herrada Maíz, Art Professional at AP Gallery, and including Abián R. Zaya, founder & CEO at ITgallery software, Álvaro Almería, co-founder and CEO at LetArt.es, and Enrique del Río founder & CEO at WeCollect Club. Coming from different aspects of the art space, this panel will discuss and explore the opportunities and challenges in the art world, the investment status in art-focused startups, role of entrepreneurs within a changing landscape and will offer insights into upcoming trends and the issues confronting art startups.
ITgallery is an online inventory management system Art Gallery or Art Collection, accessible from any computer or tablet with internet access.
Letart is a platform aimed at selling contemporary art by connecting artists and galleries with buyers in private meetings.
WeCollect is the first club for art collector in Spain.

Speakers:
Álvaro Almería – Bachelor’s Degree in Law at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Specialized in art market, he is co-founder of LetArt.
He carried out professional training in CIADE, Enterprise Initiative Centre of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and afterwards he joined as participant in YUZZ, an entrepreneurs program sponsored by Banco Santander, where his project was selected to represent the UAM.
Enrique del Río – Art Historian and MBA Entrepreneurship by the UCM. Enrique del Río is founder and CEO of WeCollect Club; cofounder of hoyesarte.com, the first Spanish art diary; cofounder of Diario de Gastronomía; and consulter in different startups and online projects.
Before that, he was publicity photographer for agencies like McCann-Erickson, Young & Rubicam or Bassat Ogilvy. He has collaborated in art and collections matters with more than 15 publications, like Esquire, Forbes, Glamour or Harper’s Bazaar, and he coordinates Matador magazine of La Fabrica editorial.
Abián R. Zaya – an IT Engineer with more than 10 years of experience. In 2014 he created ITgallery, an art colecctions management system for art galleries and art collectors. He is the company’s founder and CEO. Before this, he worked for serveral IT companies as Project Manager and developer.
Andrea Herrada Maíz – Gallery Exhibitions Officer at Curatorial Department in APgallery, a gallery dedicated to contemporary art and landscape. She is a Christie’s Education History of Art Masters candidate with a good understanding of Critical Art Theory. Five years’ experience working in art fairs and commercial galleries, as well as in art community centers and museums such as the Tate Modern, London.
